Styling for Interior Designers
I support interior designers in the final layer of their storytelling - enhancing and translating their work for the camera. My role ensures that shoot day feels like an exhale, not another heavy lift - an opportunity to appreciate the journey that brought the project to life.
-
Light Styling
Frame-focused styling for projects that are already fully accessorized. I bring in fresh florals, seasonal produce, and subtle additions to add a final layer of cohesion to each frame.
-
Full Styling
For spaces not yet fully accessorized, I source new items, pull from my archive of vintage and handmade pieces, and curate fresh florals and seasonal produce to bring the space to life from every angle.
My Process
-
1. Schedule a call
This call is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk through your project, and make sure we’re a good fit.
-
2. Share scout photos
These photos provide valuable context and allow me to better understand the scope of your styling needs. In some cases, I may request a walk-through of the home prior to shoot day.
-
3. Project estimate
I’ll provide a breakdown of the anticipated prep and shoot days, the total cost based on my day rate, an estimated floral budget, and a deposit request.
-
4. Scheduling & Deposit
This is when we’ll coordinate a date that works for you, me, the photographer, and the client. A deposit is required to secure my availability for the photoshoot.
-
5. Mood boards
I’ll provide custom mood boards to convey the overall feeling and essence of the styling vision. Please note that the items pictured are not guaranteed to appear at the shoot.
-
6. Confirm day-of details
At this stage, I begin sourcing and will confirm the client’s address and the shoot start time. If possible I like arrive 45min-an hour ahead of the photographer to prepare the space and ensure the shoot is seamless.
-
7. Photoshoot day
This is when you get to sit back and relax—I'll style surfaces, textiles, accessories, art, and florals, working closely with you and the photographer to ensure strong composition.
-
8. Wrap
Once the shoot wraps, I’ll pack up all items and florals, ensuring the home is returned to its original state—if not better—after styling and photography are complete.
-
9. Payment & Reimbursements
Finally, I’ll send over your final invoice, along with receipts for any reimbursable expenses. If the client chooses to keep any of the items I sourced, those will be included in the final invoice as well.
Think we’re a good fit?
