Office space to safe space

This project pushed me to the next level of learning how to design for function. Studio IQL invited me to transform this room into a therapist’s office within their renovated former church which houses their studios. Because the space was intended for many different types of therapy - breathwork, one-on-one sessions, family, and couples - it needed to transition seamlessly from one function to the next. More than anything, it needed to feel safe, quiet, warm, and welcoming.
I focused on flexible furnishings, layered textures, lamp lighting, and a calming palette that could hold both intimacy and expansiveness. The result is a space that adapts with ease, while offering a steady sense of comfort and grounding for whoever walks through the door.
